Finding Longevity
In the realm of healthy living there dwells longevity. Longevity affects you, affects us, and affects the generations to come. Longevity carries a brilliance, a promise, and a big ask. With longevity, a person is dared to envision a long life with graceful aging. Why does she dare this upon her friends?
The dare is real. Navigating towards and choosing healthy foods takes learning and remembering food as medicine. When healthy foods are favored, the promise of longevity becomes more real. Longevity dares us to choose fruits rather than sweet pastries, brown rice rather than white rice, beans rather than hotdogs, broccoli rather than fries. It’s a dare to get up and dance rather than sit still and watch someone else dance on a screen. Attaining longevity takes individual effort and community effort.
When the value for longevity awakens, we are all stronger.
Your Healthy Living Team at Cow Creek Health and Wellness Center wishes each of you a life where longevity is valued and present through continued learning and practicing healthy lifestyle strategies. Attend a cooking class, ask us for tips on books and online resources, and visit with our Dietitians or Naturopathic Physician.
We’ll be making Nourish Bowls at the upcoming Cooking Class. Here’s one feature recipe, for saucing and dipping.
