Oscar Rosas Sworn In as Tribal Police Officer

On July 9, Oscar Rosas was sworn in as an officer of the Cow Creek Tribal Police Department.

Oscar began his law enforcement career in Oregon in 1999 with the Roseburg Police Department (RPD), where he served for 20 years. During his time with Roseburg PD, Oscar served as a patrol officer, motor officer, tactical team member, narcotics detective, criminal detective, and K-9 handler.

After 20 years of service with RPD, Oscar served for five years with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as a patrol deputy and K-9 handler before honorably retiring.

After retirement, Oscar began his employment with the Cow Creek Umpqua Tribe, where he served as an Armed Security Ambassador with Seven Feathers Casino Resort for nearly two years.
