Fire Management Clear Debris Near Canyonville

With both the weather and smoke forecast in their favor, Cow Creek Tribal Fire Management teams were able to burn all of the “hand piles” of cleared tree and plant matter without any issues.

The piles come from efforts from Fire Management to clear defensible space around 7 Feathers Truck & Travel and the Seven Feathers RV Resort in Canyonville,
and to increase fuel mitigation, which both reduce the danger of wildfire reaching and damaging homes and Tribal-owned properties in the area.
